Biography

Yuliia Pavlenko was born on January 10, 1990, in the city of Berdiansk.

2006 – entered Berdyansk State Pedagogical University;

2010 – received her bachelor’s degree as per training programme “Pedagogical Education” and obtained a qualification of a Choreography teacher;

2011 – obtained her specialist’s diploma as per program subject area “Pedagogy and Methods of Secondary Education. Choreography” and qualified as a Choreography teacher, a teacher of Ethics and Aesthetics and a teacher at a preschool educational institution, balancing her studies at BSPU with the work in dance groups:

2009 – started working in the Dream sport ballroom dance group on premises of Naftokhymyk house of culture;

2010 – the head of a children’s team; 2012 – up to the present day – has been the coach and head of Corazon, the first salsa club in Berdiansk;

2016 – took part in an 8-hour masterclass in the field of a Kizomba social dance;

2017-2018 – participated in Odessa Boom (Odesa) and AfroLatin Touch (Zaporizhzhia) festivals, within the framework of which gave a masterclass “Salsa casino with two partners”;

2019 – has been working as a lecturer at the Department of the Theory and Methods of Teaching Art Disciplines at Berdyansk State Pedagogical University;

  • Participates in the international and national scientific and practical conferences (Poltava, Uman) as well as attends masterclasses of leading choreographers.

  1. Certificate of Merit for conscientious work in the field of education, personal contribution to the development of creative abilities of children and youth and on the occasion of the twentieth anniversary of the program subject area “Choreography” (city mayor V.P. Chepurnyi, 2019).
