Biography
Yurii Smakovskyi
February 10, 1964 – was born in Primorsk, Zaporizhzhia oblast;
1990 – received his higher education at Lebediev-Polianskyi State Pedagogical Institute of Volodymyr;
1990 – has been working at Berdyansk State Pedagogical University;
1996 – Senior Lecturer at the Department of Music Education;
1999 – graduated from the postgraduate school at BSPU.

Yurii Smakovskyi
• has been teaching such subjects as Formation of Aesthetic Needs of Future Music Teachers, Orchestral Class, Choral Class, The Main Musical Instrument (Accordion and Button Accordion) and Additional Musical Instrument;
• is a musical director of the folk instruments orchestra and full-time student mixed chorus;
• has been working on his scientific research Formation of Pedagogical Culture of Future Music Teachers by Means of Sacred Music;
• is an author of more than 10 scientific publications, an educational coursebook, a co-author of collective monographs: Modern Professional Training of a Teacher to Teach Art Disciplines at a Comprehensive School: Problems, Searches and Findings (2010) and The Development of an Artistic and Aesthetic World View of Teachers of Art Disciplines Based on the Integrative Approach (2014).
