Igor Bogdanov was born on March 6, 1967 in Berdyansk, Zaporizhzhia region. In 1991 he graduated from Electrical Department of Zaporizhzhia Machine-Building Institute with the specialization in “Electric Power Supply of Industry, Cities and Agriculture” with honors. In 1999 he graduated from Berdyansk State Pedagogical Institute, with the specialization in “Psychology”.
Igor Bogdanov has been working in Berdyansk State Pedagogical Institute from September 1991. At the beginning of his career he worked as the assistant of Physics Chair and then he became a senior lecturer. In 2004 he became an associate professor. He teaches the following courses: General physics, Electrical engineering, Wiring works, Health and Safety.
During 1991 - 2001 he held the position of the Head of University Structural Subdivisions. Also he was the Head of the Youth Computer Center, the Economic Center, and The Center for Professional Development.
In 2003 Igor Bogdanov successfully defended his thesis “Methods of Teaching of General Physics for Non-physical Faculties in Higher Educational Establishments” in the Specialized Academic Council D.26.053.03 of the National Pedagogical University named after M.P. Drahomanov and received a diploma of Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences (specialty 13.00.02 “Theory and methodology of teaching physics”).
In 2006 I. Bogdanov was awarded the academic rank of an associate professor of Physics and Methodology of the Teaching Physics Chair.
Igor Bogdanov has 129 scientific and methodological publications, including 10 manuals, 8 of which are classified by the Ministry of Education and Science: Electrical Engineering; Laboratory work (in collaboration); Electricity and Magnetism; Collection of Tasks, Exercises and Tests; Workshop (co-authored); Modular Curriculum of Electrical Disciplines for Students of Pedagogical Universities; Physical Fundamentals of Electrotechnology: Study Guide + CD;
Physics as a subject: Historical and methodological aspects (in collaboration); Physical Fundamentals of Electrotechnology: Test and Creative Tasks; Electronic fundamentals of Automation and Computer Technology (in collaboration); Selected Issues of Electroradiotechnology history (in collaboration); Also he has a monograph about “Methodical System of Formation of Physical and Technical Knowledge in the Professional Preparation of Future Teachers of Physics".
In 2010 Igor Bogdanov successfully defended his doctoral thesis “Theoretical and Methodological Principles of Forming Physical and Technical Knowledge in the Professional Preparation of Future Teachers of Physics” in the Specialized Academic Council D.26.053.06 at the National Pedagogical University named after M. Drahomanov and was awarded a Doctorate Degree in specialty 13.00.02 “Theory and Methods of Teaching (physics)”.
Also, he was awarded The Diploma of Zaporizhzhya Regional State Administration, The Diploma of Education and Science of Ukraine, The Breastplate of “The High achiever of Education of Ukraine” and “For scientific achievements”.
